Behind the camera

I’m Chirag Bachani, an award-winning photographer based in Chicago and Dallas. My work spans concerts, portraits, and events — and, after dark, the night sky.

My astrophotography has been featured by NASA, the BBC, Sky & Telescope, EarthSky, and Northwestern University, where I’m currently a student.

I trained in film development, tintypes, and alternative photographic processes at Greenhill School, and I bring that same craft and patience to every session — whether it’s a headshot in a downtown studio or the Milky Way over a desert canyon.
